The 43rd International Tourism Fair opened at the Belgrade fair grounds on March 23rd

The Tourism Fair with following events is an opportunity to meet business people in tourism, hotel and catering business, promotion of tourist capacities of Serbia in Hall 4 and the elevation of the entire tourist sector to a higher level.

BELGRADE – The 43rd International Tourism Fair opened at the Belgrade fair grounds on Wednesday. The slogan of this year's fair is Between the Mountains and the Sea.

According to Tanjung, opening the event, Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matic said she was pleased the fair was being held in spite of the current global instability. "Serbia will remain an attractive, modern and exciting tourist destination and domestic tourism will continue to develop," she said.

"The war in Ukraine will definitely be reflected in the tourism sector, but we believe the industry will survive in spite of everything as it is highly adaptable," Matic said.

National Tourism Organisation of Serbia Director Marija Labovic said the domestic tourism industry was being showcased at the fair under the new Experience Serbia brand, and noted that the brand was aptly named because tourism was indeed an experience.

Belgrade Mayor Zoran Radojicic said the three-day fair would present the city's diversity and be a hub of events in the capital.

The visitors will have an opportunity to choose destination in accordance with their affinities: family trips, travel for young people, far away destinations, which they can choose from the offer: Greece, Turkey, Montenegro, Egypt, Bulgaria, Russia, North Macedonia, Tunisia, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia, and making its first appearance at the fair is Malaysia with its rich tourist offer.

The opening ceremony was attended by several foreign ambassadors in Belgrade, Montenegro's Minister for Economic Development Jakov Mijatovic, Republika Srpska Minister of Trade and Tourism Suzana Gasic and the head of the Republika Srpska Representation Office in Belgrade, Mladjen Cicovic.

Belgrade Tourism Fair is ranked as the largest tourist event in the country and Southeast Europe. Fulfilling the international business standards for more than 30 years, it has created partner relationships with its exhibitors, offering quality and various activities and attracting huge number of exhibitors every year. Last year, more than 880 exhibitors have been presented, while the number of visitors has exceeded 58 thousand. The international character of the event, which is attracting more exhibitors each year from all parts of the world, has been confirmed by more than 250 foreign participants from 43 countries.

Simultaneously with the tourism fair, which closes on March 27, the international wine fair Beowine (March 26-27) and the Horeca-Equipment fair (March 24-27) will take place on the same location.

SUN, 27th of March: 10:00 – 18:00
