The Coconut Traveler appoints Hawaii travel veteran Kim Abrahamson as Senior Travel Designer

OAHU, HAWAII – Debbie Misajon, founder of Hawaii’s leading luxury onsite, The Coconut Traveler, announce the appointment of Kim Abrahamson as Senior Travel Designer. In this role, Abrahamson will create exceptional trip itineraries to the Hawaiian Islands for The Coconut Traveler’s discerning clientele. Abrahamson, like Misajon, possesses a strong passion for and commitment to delivering a luxury product that strives to create a positive impact on both the environment and greater Hawaii communities.

Abrahamson has over 35 years of experience working in travel and tourism, with a focus on the Hawaiian Islands. Her professional background spans senior roles in luxury leisure travel, destination management, and hotel sales. Prior to The Coconut Traveler, Abrahamson was an Experience Architect at HAWAI’I VIP LLC, where she curated authentic travel experiences to the Hawaiian Islands for clients. During her tenure, she performed comprehensive concierge services including arranging luxury home and villa rentals, transportation, island adventures, private dining, special events, and personal care services. Abrahamson has also held previous roles as Director of Sales & Operations at Insider Experience; freelance Travel Director, Meeting and Event Manager; Group Sales Manager at Maui Prince Hotel; Senior Sales Manager at Island Partners Hawaii; and Chief Executive Officer at Island Incentives DMC.

Kim Abrahamson grew up surfing and playing volleyball on the sunny beaches of Southern California. She joined the world of travel as an international travel director and her passion for all things foreign took her to over forty countries. Raising two wonderful sons and multiple furry friends, Kim enjoys everything about the Maui lifestyle – 36 years and counting. She’s an active volunteer and supporter of organizations promoting sustainable tourism, Hawaiian culture, and animal and children welfare.
