Three Tour Operating companies merge to create Wevenure

Owners David Naczycz, Andy Maunder, Jason Fried, Bill Gehrman, and Michiel Stavast bring heir combined 75 years of tourism experience to WeVenture, making it the premier U.S. tour company operating in 11 cities with over 100 employees.

NEW YORK CITY, NY – Tour travel company operators Urban Oyster, North America Tour Hub (NATH), and Adventure United States announced a new tour operating company: WeVenture. Owners David Naczycz, Andy Maunder, Jason Fried, Bill Gehrman, and Michiel Stavast bring heir combined 75 years of tourism experience to WeVenture, making it the premier U.S. tour company operating in 11 cities with over 100 employees. This year, the New York City-based company expects to host 12,000 tours serving over 75,000 tourists in WeVenture destinations Boston, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.

While the disruption from COVID was felt heavily across the tourism and hospitality sector, the slowdown in business allowed Naczycz, Maunder, Fried, and Stavast to collaborate on how they could streamline their individual tour operations and work towards expansion into more significant and additional markets. Merging into WeVenture allows their companies to leverage combined capabilities and become more efficient.

“The merger of our companies brings together highly passionate tour professionals who have independently built very successful tour operations in very different markets,” says co-owner Andy Maunder. “The combination allows us to properly develop a brand that understands its responsibility to deliver rich and rewarding experiences to a diverse customer base.” WeVenture will roll out new tour product, including multi-day packages in 2022, and launch in new markets, including Seattle.

“This spring, we’re excited to enter the Seattle market because it will expand our business into a new region of the country,” said co-owner David Naczycz. “Seattle fits our culture perfectly and allows us to connect guests to the amazing food, art, history, and culture that the city is known for. Looking ahead, Seattle is also the ideal launching point for multi-day experiences in the Pacific Northwest.”

The company brings a unique perspective to its approach. At WeVenture, executives believe tours and experiences should contribute to the growth and betterment of everyone involved; guests, team members, partners, and communities. The experiences offered are small-group, immersive, and high engagement. That commitment to providing quality service enhances the guest experience but allows for those experiences to be more meaningful, sustainable, and inclusive for our stakeholders. Sustainability is core to the mission of WeVenture. Tour guides are locals and are immersed in the very experience they bring their guests. Guides take tourists into neighborhood eateries and explore local culture and history, boosting local businesses’ profits and local economies. WeVenture works with partners to eliminate the use of single-use plastic from tours.
