NEW YORK – Tiqets announced the winners of its sixth annual Remarkable Venue Awards (RVAs), which recognize the best museums and attractions in nine counties around the globe across seven different categories, from Best Hidden Gem to Most Remarkable Venue. Since its inception in 2017, the annual awards have served as a tool for helping discerning travelers discover more ways to culture. The reveal today also coincides with World Tourism Day, a global observance that fosters awareness about the importance of tourism and its impact on society.
“The theme for this year’s World Tourism Day is rethinking tourism, a topic we consider almost daily in our mission to make culture more accessible. Each of the winners of the 2022 Remarkable Venue Awards showcases an industry-leading experience that is setting the standard for the future of tourism. We’re so proud to work with these venues that continue to inspire our travel dreams and we’re honored to be celebrating our award series with them,” says Tiqets CEO Laurens Leurink.

Two additional award categories are application-based and evaluated by a panel of industry experts including Arival CEO Douglas Quinby, TravelAge West Vice President, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Kenneth Shapiro and NYC & Company Director, Tourism Market Development Renee Wilson.
Seven venues across the U.S. received top honors in their respective categories and are being celebrated alongside world-famous attractions such as Windsor Castle and Il Duomo. Among the U.S. winners, are:
- Most Remarkable Venue: Titanic Museum Attraction Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
- Best Museum: The National WWII Museum, New Orleans
- Best Attraction: Filoli Historic House & Garden, California’s Bay Area
- Best Landmark: SUMMIT One Vanderbilt, New York City
- Best Onsite Experience: Musical Instrument Museum, Phoenix
- Best Hidden Gem: Fotografiska, New York
- Most Innovative Venue: Area 15, Las Vegas
Winners from eight other countries were also announced, including in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, the UAE, and the UK.
