The second and third prizes go to Cruisewatch and Grapevine.

Now merely days away; TravelTech Show, formerly Travel Technology Europe, have unveiled the first winner of the Trailblazer awards as chosen by their expert panel of judges. The winner is TourAmigo.

“TourAmigo scored extremely highly with all judges. Multi-day tour operators are an underserved segment, and TourAmigo will disrupt the industry with their innovative solution. They scored particularly high for the quality of their presentation, and the potential to create breakthrough value in the travel industry” said Stevie Rackley from TravelTech Show.

The second and third prizes go to Cruisewatch and Grapevine. All three of these companies will be invited to speak at the start up panel with Pete Comeau from Phocuswright on day 2 of the show at 15.05. TourAmigo is a B2B travel tech company that specialises in distribution and software for multi-day tour operators. TourAmigo provides booking and reservation software (SaaS) specifically designed for multi-day tour operators and a plug-and-play booking journey for selling partners to feature and sell tours globally.

Murray Decker CEO from TourAmigo said, “Considering the incredibly high standard of competition, being named the winner of TravelTech Show’s Trailblazer Award is a huge honour. This award will go a long way to support Tour Amigo’s mission to become the global market leader in tour travel technology. Expanding into Europe and the US is a vital step on our journey to achieving this mission. The recognition, networking opportunities, and product validation gained from the Trailblazer Award will not only open up new opportunities, but it will be an invaluable aid during this overseas expansion.”

"The Multi-Day Tour segment is the last tourism vertical to be digitalised, with over 95% of multi-day tours operators lacking booking and reservation software and online/live distribution. This highly fragmented USD$155billion dollar travel segment is one of the most significant emerging opportunities in the travel industry.”

This is the first of three winners with a further two winners of the innovation pitches being chosen by the TravelTech Show attendees, these two awards were also open to entry by the sponsors during the event itself. Attendees will be able to vote via Swapcard (the virtual platform that will host the event) after they have registered for the show.

Voters are encouraged to watch details of the innovation pitch entrants here https://traveltech-show.com/innovation-pitches, before casting their vote.

The show is the first truly global virtual show of its kind and offered up the opportunity for early-stage companies to demonstrate how their tech makes a difference at this year’s TravelTech Show Trailblazer Awards.

18 Companies in total have entered the competition offering a variety of innovative business and travel tech ideas. Those entrants include Cruisewatch, d-flo, Flywire, Gamitee, Grapevine, Holibob, Kantox, Koderly, Lemax, Livn, Rezometry, Sublimis Technologies, TravelAmigos, Travel Compositor, Trees4travel, Upiria, Vervotech and Vibe Systems.

The Winner of the Trailblazer award, TourAmigo will receive a free stand at TravelTech Show 2022, a Phocuswright Conference Start-up ticket, and an article with PhocusWire. The two runners up (Cruisewatch & Grapevine) will be invited to speak alongside TourAmigo on the Start-up panel, with Pete Comeau from Phocuswright at TTS next week.

The Peoples Choice winners will be featured in an article on PhocusWire, and included in post event press releases. The Peoples Choice winners will be announced at the show on day 2.

The event, which is adopting a unique and exciting ‘follow the sun’ format this year to provide territory-specific content for buyers in Europe, Asia and North America, is taking place virtually on 14th and 15th September.
