Car rentals will be distributed through the worldwide travel wholesaler Tourico Hoildays.
ORLANDO, FLA – Only weeks after announcing an expansion in their activity offerings, Tourico Holidays, a high-tech travel wholesale company, will unveil two new car rental initiatives at ITB Berlin and solidify its place as a full-product-platform for international tour operators and travel companies. Tourico Holidays has partnered with Sixt, thus enabling the German company’s network of car rentals to be distributed through the worldwide travel wholesaler. At the same time, Tourico Holidays has finalized a new online booking platform greatly increasing usability and speed.
This agreement will offer clients even more competitive pricing and availability. As the first car rental addition to Tourico Holidays’ Direct Connect Program, the Sixt includes a presence in more than 100 countries across the globe. Founded in Munich, Germany and internationally renowned for quality customer care and great value-for-money, Sixt recently opened branches in the U.S., increasing the number of rental locations to 4,000 worldwide.
As part of the focus on ancillary products, Tourico Holidays will launch a completely renovated online booking system to provide tour operators and agents improved usability, speed, and access to information. The system will also provide alternative options for agents to offer, and includes various new features, such as a mapping system that allows users to easily view pick-up locations and opening hours, as well as the option to book directly from the map. Other highlights include a new sort and filter feature by class, price, company, and distance, as well as additional information on special equipment, giving users the ability to add extras during the booking process, such as car seats and handicap accommodations.
