Tourism Fair for a new time the 43rd International Tourism Fair is announced

The 17th International Fair Hotel and Catering equipment HORECA-EQUIPMENT and the 12th International Wine Fair BEOWINE, a wave of new energy will start, and through establishing contacts and networking participants, the direction of achieving better business results will be traced.

At the Belgrade Fair the awaited 43rd International Tourism Fair is announced, the most significant tourist event in the country and the Southeastern European region. After a one year break, the Tourism fair will be held from the 24th to the 27th of March 2022 and will be directed towards recovery and renewal of the tourist ambiance, as well as promotion of trends and innovations which will shape the future of the tourism industry.

With the following events, the 17th International Fair Hotel and Catering equipment HORECA-EQUIPMENT and the 12th International Wine Fair BEOWINE, a wave of new energy will start, and through establishing contacts and networking participants, the direction of achieving better business results will be traced.

The slogan of this years’ exhibition “Between Mountains and Seas” invites all travel lovers to, in accordance with their affinities, from a rich fair offer, choose between traditionally popular sea destinations or mountain tourism and active tours.

Exclusive fair prices, first minute offers and packages with lots of benefits The visitors will have an opportunity to choose destination in accordance with their affinities: family trips, travel for young people, far away destinations, which they can choose from the offer: Greece, Turkey, Montenegro, Egypt, Bulgaria, Russia, North Macedonia, Tunisia, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia, and making its first appearance at the fair is Malaysia with its rich tourist offer.

Speaking at the press conference, Jelena Milenkovic Orlic, acting Assistant Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunication of the Republic of Serbia expressed her gratitude that this event is being held for the 43 rd time at the Belgrade fair and highlighted that exhibitions are the most important tourist event at which all sectors of tourism gather in order to exchange experience, knowledge and offers.

Milenkovic Orlic has highlighted that the development of tourism has a large impact on other branches of the economy in the country and the society as a whole, and has therefore explained that its development enhances road construction and the infrastructure, but also promotes cultural heritage and the resources of our country.

“The Government of Serbia and the Resource Ministry has set aside 5,4 billion RSD to the tourism and catering economy in 2021 and results are expected. Tourism has shown adaptability to the change which took place, and Serbian tourism is recovering more than expected on a global level. For a complete recovery of post-pandemic tourism the definition of new mechanisms is necessary, because the circumstances in which we live, work, travel have changed as well. The tourism for a new time is necessary”.

Milenkovic Orlic has announced that the goal of the Ministry in the upcoming year is the development of rural tourism in the country, as well as the promotion of gastronomy, and added that these aspirations will manifest at the following tourist events.

At the press conference Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Malaysia in Serbia Kairul Tazril Tarmizi has also spoken and said that its and honor and privilege for him to represent his country in Serbia and expressed gratitude that these two countries are elevating their cooperation to a higher level in the area of tourism.

The Tourism Fair in Belgrade is the largest event in the domain in the Region and Malaysia participates in it for the first time. The expectations from representing Malaysia at this exhibition platform are grand, and with the promotion of Malaysian destinations the future will continue as well”, said Tarimzi.

He stated that in the past three years, before the pandemic, around 1,000 people from Serbia has visited Malaysia.

Regarding business activities during the Tourism Fair and two other fairs which will simultaneously take place, spoke Dragan Zecevic, the coordinator of the Tourism Fair project.

“The Belgrade fair has at this years’ event continued with the organized bringing in customer program. Business activities are being organized in cooperation with the PKS and the European Entrepreneurship Network, and will take place in a special “B2B Meetings” venue.

The 17th International Fair of Hotel and Catering equipment HORECA-EQUIPMENT will be held in Halls 2A and 2C and will gather the most significant companies dealing with production and distribution of state of the art products and assortments for equipping catering objects, restaurants and hotels, as well as service activities, new trends of business, supply and functioning of service objects.

Zecevic has invited visitors to two exhibition days of the 12 th International wine Fair BEOWINE, which will gather the leading producers and importers of the finest wines on the 25 th and 26 th of March in Halls 3 and 3A.

“Next to Serbia, at the Wine Fair this year participate wine and wine equipment producers from Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Republic of Srpska, Montenegro, Ukraine, Austria, for the first time and exhibitor from Ukraine is coming to the fair and confirmations from France, North Macedonia, Portugal and other are expected. A large following program is planned with workshops, master-classes, panel discussions and other content without which large wine events are unimaginable.”

The Tourism Fair with following events is an opportunity to meet business people in tourism, hotel and catering business, promotion of tourist capacities of Serbia in Hall 4 and the elevation of the entire tourist sector to a higher level.
