Despite the travel and tourism being the worst hit sectors with almost no travel bookings in the previous months, Travomint is prioritising its employees and delivering appraisals.
A global recession may be on the horizon as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, which has affected businesses across a wide range of industries. Several countries have been put on lockdown, and businesses have suffered significant losses. Since no one knows when the situation will change, leaders revisit many individuals and business decisions with considerable trepidation. In these vulnerable times, when companies are opting to retrench or cut salaries, only a few delightful exceptions are providing rises.
Despite the travel and tourism being the worst hit sectors with almost no travel bookings in the previous months, Travomint is prioritising its employees and delivering appraisals. The decision was made to motivate the employees and share their load. The Appraisals were offered based on the employees past performance. A performance assessment system, according to the
organisation, is a powerful management tool for collecting feedback, evaluating and estimating whether a person's performance is effective, and discussing what needs to be done to improve it.
Furthermore, the company has employed a significant number of employees since March 2020 and will continue to do so as plans and client needs dictate. Employees who began working during the lockdown are filling out their onboarding paperwork on the company's website. Travomint's IT team is delivering desktops or laptops to all employees' homes, along with step-by-step guidance on how to configure and securely connect to the Travomint network via VPN.
It allows for faster deployment to run while still adhering to the government's social distancing guidelines. “Our employees are the heart of our organization, so it is our duty to provide them with the services they need. As a result, we give our workers regular feedback because it increases overall performance by raising employee morale, increasing productivity, and creating a positive work environment. We believe that happy and satisfied employees are more creative, innovative, and dedicated than unhappy employees. In the long term, they're much more likely to stick around. It's important to note that appraisals aren't just for doing a good job, but also for showing one's ability to do better in the future” says Alok K Singh, Co-founder and CEO, Travomint.
Speaking enthusiastically about his appraisal Max who is now a Manager of his Business Development Team says, “my efforts are well recognized by my organization, I am very excited to be promoted to a Manager's role for driving travel services across the globe." Another Employee who was also promoted was happy to share the news and said “I am super proud and excited to announce my promotion as a senior strategic alliance consultant at Travomint. I am tremendously grateful for the senior management and my team members for this wonderful achievement”.
