Under the umbrella of the Vienna Convention Bureau, the three top conference centers of the city, the Austria Center Vienna, the Hofburg Vienna, the Messe Wien Exhibition and Congress Center, joined in the Vienna proposal which was offered to and accepted by Maritz Global Events, a leader in the global meetings and events industry.

During IMEX America Exhibition in Las Vegas 2016, Maritz Global Events and the Vienna Convention Bureau at the Vienna Tourist Board signed a two-year agreement, starting January 1st, 2017, to intensify an already existing business relationship in a fruitful partnership for both parties.

The cooperation covers all of Maritz Global Events – including Maritz Travel and Experient – and will allow the Vienna Convention Bureau to participate in special events from Maritz Global Events and promote the destination, which will be supported by special web-based, educational sessions for the whole Maritz Global Events staff and internal sales platforms.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Vienna – a truly world-class destination – that will enable us to continue designing and delivering exceptional experiences to our clients throughout the world,“ said David Peckinpaugh, president of Maritz Global Events. “We are taking the existing relationship with Maritz Global Events to a new level of partnership, which will be of benefit to Vienna as well as to all of Maritz Global Events‘ clients,“ Christian Mutschlechner adds on behalf of the Vienna Convention Bureau and the Vienna group partners in this project.

Vienna, perceived as a world-class destination for the U.S. market, offers a wide selection of conference centers, modern and classic venues, an excellent hotel infrastructure, as well as very good connectivity by Austrian Airlines from the US-market directly into the destination.

Through its divisions – Maritz Travel and Experient – it handles corporate events and incentives, as well as association, government, trade show, and sports and enthusiast events.
