Umapped enters 2017 positioned for dramatic growth

Experiential travel itinerary management leader closes 2016 with noteworthy client wins, product innovations, new partner integrations and global expansion.

UNITED STATES – 2016 was record-breaking a year for Umapped, the award-winning collaborative travel itinerary management platform. The company announced that it had achievements in product innovations, expanded partnerships and new client launches in 11 countries including Canada, US, Australia, Portugal, Spain, Italy, UK, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and New Zealand.

Umapped signed 130 new clients including several enterprise companies through preferred partnerships with top tier travel consortia and GDS. The company's ongoing success has been propelled by the increasing ecosystem of direct content integrations with leading tour operator suppliers including Ski.com, Globus, and Ultimate Jet Vacations, with new global partners to be announced in 2017.

To remain at the forefront of current and projected travel technology trends, Umapped continues to put an emphasis on developing game-changing collaboration initiatives such as Umapped Messenger, which enables multi-channel 2-way group messaging between travel providers and their clients.

In 2016 Umapped also launched their Progressive Web App functionality which uses modern web capabilities to deliver an app-like user experience, without the need to download an app. The Umapped platform naturally evolves from pages in a browser, maintaining the web's low friction at every moment. Other noteworthy enhancements in 2016 included:

  • Multi-language capabilities:  now available in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian
  • Live integrations with the Sabre GDS and ClientBase
  • Expanded functionality with the Umapped API making it easy for brands to integrate functionality into their own products
  • White label email and document delivery

"Traveler demand for real-time information, relevant offerings, and customized travel experiences has fueled our current success, with our existing clients consistently seeing increases in productivity, customer satisfaction, and profits," said Lisa Israelovitch, CEO of Umapped. "As we continue to establish Umapped as a technology leader in the collaborative travel segment, there's a tremendous opportunity for growth in this market. In the coming year, we are eager to build on this momentum by expanding the platform functionality to further drive monetization and revenue for our customers before, during and after travel. 2016 was a year of considerable accomplishments for the company, and laid the groundwork for an even more successful 2017."

Umapped gives suppliers the power, flexibility, and speed to collaborate on proposals and itineraries with industry partners and customers at every stage of travel. The Umapped platform aggregates details around a trip into an interactive, shareable itinerary, while streamlining workflow for travel companies so that they can focus on servicing their clients. The ability to communicate in real-time also leads to higher attachment rates with additional bookings.
