Mark the date in your diary now! The Canadian Tourism Commission will be launching their new European brand at the 2005 World Travel Market on the Central Stage at Excel on 14th November at 14.00. With seating for 150 and plenty of standing room, everyone is welcome.

The fact that so many Canadian Provinces, Territories and tourism partners have decided to return to the event shows great support for the brand and its implementation. Their commitment has been secured for a three year period.

Along with the introduction of new Canadian Tourism Commission UK Managing Director, Maggie Davison, the Canada stand will also be home to some new and returning exhibitors.

Representatives from the Atlantic Provinces of Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, will be joined by Travel Alberta and Travel Manitoba, Tourism Saskatchewan as returning and first time exhibitors. Also participating at the show for the first time are Via Rail, brand new lodge Wolf Lodges & Inns, The Lady Macdonald Country Inn. Returning after an absence of a few years are Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, Delta Chelsea and Air Canada.

I am very excited to have arrived here in the United Kingdom to implement the new brand and move the promotion of Canada forward. I am looking forward to meeting our industry partners, those tour operators who have been loyal to Canada over the years and the travel industry at large. Tour operators who currently don`t feature Canada and travel agents who wish to find out more about this great country, and learn about the world class holiday product it has to offer beyond the traditional, really should also be visiting the Canada stand (NA2000). From trophy fishing to spa`s and mountain retreats, eco tourism, and wilderness lodges, golf on Jack Nicklaus designed courses, World Heritage Sites, First Nation Product, Bird watching, extreme adventure to soft adventure – the list goes on, but Canada has it all, said Maggie Davison, newly appointed Managing Director, Canadian Tourism Commission.
