Galileo<.> International-connected travel agents worldwide now have the highest-level, state-of-the-art connectivity to the most accurate and timely hotel information and availability with Galileo’s new RoomMaster Inside Shopper.



Inside Shopper provides travel agents direct access to the reservation systems of participating hotels at all stages of the booking process, starting with the initial inquiry, to offer live availability, rates and inventory. Marriott International is Inside Shopper’s premier hotel partner, providing Galileo agents direct access to Marriott’s inventory.



Exclusive to Galileo’s Inside Shopper customers, Galileo allows travel agents to include frequent guest numbers in the availability request so that participating hotels can tailor their responses to specific travelers. For example, Marriott guarantees room availability for high-level frequent guests and with Inside Shopper, Marriott can now provide a customized response to special customers from the initial availability request.



Inside Shopper will provide agents with consistent data throughout the entire booking process, says Louise Meyer, Galileo’s director of Hotel Business Development. This will give travel agents greater reliability and confidence in the product they are booking and will save them a great deal of time. Our exclusive ability to include frequent guest numbers in the availability request allows hotels to recognize their premier customers while helping agents provide superior service that builds customer loyalty.



Thanks to Galileo’s Inside Shopper, we can now provide travel agents with the most accurate and up-to-date rate and availability data directly from Marriott’s central reservations system, allowing single image inventory through all electronic channels, said Bruce Wolff, Marriott’s senior vice president for Distribution Sales and Marketing. When used in conjunction with Marriott’s EM master chain code, the functionality provides agents with the data to give their clients the most comprehensive hotel information available.



Inside Shopper provides our hotel partners with the next-generation of seamless selling capabilities they need to offer the best customer service and support, said Michael W. McCormick, senior vice president Hospitality and Leisure Services for Cendant’s Travel Distribution Services Division, which also oversees WizCom, TRUST International, and THOR operations.

Inside Shopper also has a new screen layout that provides clearer, more concise information on the initial availability screen.
