Back in Brighton after a 4-year break for 20th anniversary – and entry is free. VegfestUK Brighton takes place April 29th-30th 2023, The Brighton Centre.
The UK’s leading vegan events team VegfestUK, celebrating 20 years of vegan events in 2023, is returning to The Brighton Centre after a hiatus of 4 years on April 29th 30th 2023 for a huge indoor vegan event – and it’s going to be free for the public to attend, as Vegfest celebrates in style with a return to their original venues and focus. With an anticipated 200+ exhibitors and a whole range of vegan goods and services on board, plus a number of talks, demos, performance and entertainment, Brighton is set to be spoilt for a whole weekend as the vegan community gathers once more in force, whilst welcoming in multiple new people to taste the benefits of plant based lifestyles for the first time.
“Vegfest started in Bristol in 2003 and we held our first vegan event in Brighton in 2009” said the organisers “and for a whole decade we enjoyed back-to-back vegan events in the area with huge crowds and a real community feel. Now so more than ever it’s important to come together as independents, charities, sanctuaries, campaigns and individuals and celebrate the best of the vegan community and beyond. Brighton has always been a hot bed of vegan options and the venue is not only super friendly and well organised but also capable of entertaining thousands of people hungry for the best in plant based living. Truthfully, we cannot wait to return. We love Brighton!”
Free entry to the event for the public has also been confirmed, and guarantees to see a lot of visitors to the event, and the organisers were quick to justify the decision.
“Three main reasons – we want to support vegan independent businesses, charities, campaigns and individuals during these challenging times and a huge crowd will do just that – and what better way to ensure a big crowd than make the event free to attend?
Importantly too – we recognise the current climate crisis facing us all and the part than animal agriculture plays in emissions and pollutants, and there is a real drive to adopt plant based lifestyles in the quest for net zero. Welcoming in thousands of people new to plant based options with free admission is our way of trying to help accelerate this process whilst we have the chance.
But thirdly – it’s our 20th anniversary and people everywhere have had a tough time recently – and that’s ongoing. We hope a big vegan party that’s free to attend in the middle of Brighton next Spring is some genuinely good news for people and help them celebrate this xmas and look forward to a fabulous event in the spring that is set to really celebrate in style on multiple levels. It may be tough times but for us it’s party time too and we’re hard at work already planning the biggest vegan party in Brighton for a long time!”
