Seasoned hospitality professional Carrie Di Guido joins Visit Dana Point team.
DANA POINT, CALIF. – Visit Dana Point, the destination marketing organization for Dana Point, Calif., announces the appointment of Carrie Di Guido as marketing and communications manager. In this position, Di Guido will oversee marketing, promotional and public relations efforts for the destination.
Di Guido brings over a decade of experience within the hospitality industry and has spent the past five years living in the Dana Point area, where she served as the travel industry sales manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel. Prior to working at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, Di Guido served as the reservations manager at Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa in Florida; the assistant front office manager at The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans; and reservations supervisor at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey in California.
“With her extensive knowledge of the hospitality industry and years of experience working in Dana Point, Carrie will be a great asset to the team,” said Jonny Westom, executive director of Visit Dana Point. “Her travel and hospitality background, along with her experience in the Dana Point market will allow her to hit the ground running with our plans for the new year.”
In her role, Di Guido will lead the organization’s marketing efforts, which aim to increase tourism through the development of promotional campaigns, advertising and other special projects. She will also work closely with local businesses, stakeholders and strategic partners to further promote the city of Dana Point.

Di Guido holds a bachelor’s degree in interpersonal and organizational communication from California State University at Long Beach, Calif.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Business Administration from the Technical University of Athens and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales.
She has many years of both academic and industrial experience within the travel industry. She has written/edited numerous articles in various tourism magazines.
