VistaJet enhances travel safety with medaire

Crew, clients and passengers benefit from medical and security services wherever they fly.

FARNBOROUGH – Leading global business aviation company VistaJet has extended its partnership with MedAire, an International SOS company, to streamline and strengthen travel safety protocols and offer enhanced benefits to its passengers.

In addition to offering medical assistance to passengers and crew, VistaJet’s new MedAire travel safety solution includes access to aviation travel security briefs. It also provides information and advice to mitigate risks at destination and access to the MedAire global network of security experts, local providers and logistics personnel.

“We arrange flights to over 182 countries,” said Nick van der Meer, Accountable Manager, VistaJet International. “MedAire provides the information we need to assess and mitigate travel and safety risks for all flights. Medaire also supports our crews with valuable traveller tools and alert notifications should an event occur that may affect their safety and that of the passengers while at their destination.”

MedAire provides business and general aviation clients with medical, travel and safety services in-flight and at their destination. VistaJet incorporates the information from the MedAire Portal, an online resource that provides travel safety and medical risk assessments and advice, and Trip Ready, the MedAire app for iPad, into their standard safety protocols.

“We refer to the MedAire Trip Ready app and the analysis it provides when deciding whether to accept a flight and making our go/no go decisions. It has helped us support many business requests we originally thought we would have to decline due to a lack of general information. For high and extreme risk areas, we add a call to the MedAire experts to get a trip specific briefing,” continued van der Meer. “MedAire has always provided us with great medical assistance. Now we can extend even more benefits to our crew and clients, delivering peace of mind and confidence for their upcoming trips.”
