In 2022, combining work and travel is a new normal that many people decide to pursue as a career model. A study from Compare My Jet has revealed what the highest paid jobs are that allow people to follow their wanderlust and the qualifications needed to land one.

Aerospace engineer revealed as the highest paid job that allows you to travel
Aerospace engineers and airline pilots top the list of most lucrative jobs for jet-setters with high annual salaries of over £80 k per year. However, as with most of the top paying roles that enable travel while working, a high level of technical training and experience is required. 

There are a vast range of top paid jobs that allow constant travel including more creative roles such as event planners or architects. However, salaries vary significantly based on the level of responsibility, training and experience.

Offering a stronger work-life balance and lower level of responsibility, most of these jobs will be the perfect beginning of a career and allow room for growth in the future, while still discovering new destinations.

Doctors and surgeons top the list of highest paid on-site jobs
For those who prefer to remain on the ground, and have a medical degree the top three highest paid jobs are neurosurgery (over £97 k per annum), cardiothoracic surgery (almost £91 k per annum) and oral surgery (nearly £85 k per annum). 

As Ian Wright, CEO and founder of Compare My Jet explains many of these jobs: “These can also be extremely rewarding in terms of personal satisfaction and income.” However, candidates will need an advanced knowledge on the subject and years of experience before achieving financial success.
