More than half a million Canadians visit Arizona every year, and almost half of those visitors are from Ontario, drawn by unbeatable weather and plenty of leisure activities.
CALGARY – Sun seekers and desert lovers rejoice. WestJet announced new daily, non-stop service between Toronto and Phoenix beginning October 26, 2014. Same-day connections are also available to and from Montreal, Ottawa, Halifax, and Moncton, New Brunswick.
Golfers, shoppers and cactus aficionados now have non-stop access to the non-stop sunshine that Phoenix enjoys for more than 85 per cent of the day.
“We are always looking for new and better ways to provide Canadians with in-demand destination choices,” said Chris Avery, WestJet’s Vice-President, Network Planning, Alliances and Corporate Development. “After this winter of record storms and low temperatures, more Canadians than ever are looking for non-stop routes to sunny U.S. destinations like Phoenix to meet the demand for sunshine and tee times.”

The Phoenix Sky Harbour International Airport is one of largest hubs for WestJet partner American Airlines, with access to more than 300 flights daily.
