Winners of the visit.brussels Awards 2015 announved

Brussels’s reputation is well established and yet the Region continues to steadily notch up record tourist results.

The 9 different prize-winners of the visit.brussels Awards have been revealed during the ceremony to honour the best Brussels tourist initiatives in the last year. The jury made up of professionals from the tourist sector and the general public have yet again this year selected the projects that, in their field and at their level, have actively taken part in showcasing the Region in 2014.

Brussels’s reputation is well established and yet the Region continues to steadily notch up record tourist results. And these encouraging figures are also, of course, the outcome of original, enthusiastic and dynamic work by stakeholders in all areas in Brussels, who constantly strive to further consolidate the fame that the European capital enjoys on the world stage.

During the visit.brussels Awards & Networking Night, these schemes have been honoured at the Albert Hall in Brussels. After the general public had chosen the three finalists for each category from among the 74 projects, it was the turn today for the jury made up of professionals from the Brussels tourist sector to choose the winner of each of the 9 prizes in the visit.brussels Awards.

And the 9 winners of the visit.brussels Awards 2015 are:

  • “Public Initiative 2014”: Parcours d’Artistes
  • “New Concept 2014”: Nationa(a)l Expo Store
  • “Evening Experience 2014”: Boeremet

visit.brussels “Honorary Award”
Finally, a new prize was added to the list to honour a partner that has particularly distinguished itself in recent months, the Jewish Museum of Belgium. Given the extraordinary circumstances, the visit.brussels staff decided to give an “Honorary Award” to the staff of the Jewish Museum of Belgium, to pay tribute to the courage they have shown by reopening the museum after the attack last May.
