Wizz Air opens flights from Riga to Bergen

Flights from Riga to Bergen will take place twice a week on Mondays and Fridays.

On Monday, 1 April, Wizz Air, the low-fare and low-cost airline in the Central and Eastern Europe, commenced flights from Riga to Bergen. Flights will take place twice a week on Mondays and Fridays.

“We greatly appreciate it that the airline Wizz Air offers passengers more and more new destinations suggesting a wider choice of travel opportunities,” said Aldis Murnieks, Chairman of the Board of Riga International Airport.

Daniel de Carvalho, Wizz Air Corporate Communications Manager, said: “We’re very pleased to carry our first 128 passengers from Riga to Bergen! This is a truly exciting route with much potential for tourism on both destinations. With flights operating on Mondays and Fridays this route is set to become a secret tip for weekend trips. We hope our very low fares will keep people of Riga flying!”

Riga International Airport is the largest air traffic hub in the Baltic states with 17 airlines offering flights to 81 destinations.
