WOW Air flies in Rooster PR

WOW air is Iceland's only low-cost carrier and its fleet is the youngest and most fuel efficient in the country.

WOW air has turned to the UK’s leading travel and lifestyle PR agency, Rooster, to promote the Icelandic airline in the UK. Rooster will raise awareness of the WOW promise; the airline offers the lowest price, on the newest planes, with the biggest smile.

WOW air brings a spirit of fun to its everyday activities, with its bright purple colour theme, tongue-in-cheek attitude and humourous on-board announcements. The Reykjavik-based airline is putting the WOW factor back into low-cost flying, offering a complete experience from take-off to landing.

Tourism to Iceland has grown phenomenally over the past few years and the destination never fails to wow visitors with its impressive scenery and natural wonders. With WOW air, passengers can now fly to Reykjavik from more than 14 cities across Europe.

WOW air is Iceland’s only low-cost carrier and its fleet is the youngest and most fuel efficient in the country. This year, the airline will expand its aircraft of Airbus A320s and increase its flight schedule to and from London Gatwick.

Rooster will develop and deliver a strategic mix of campaigns in the UK and manage all press relations for the airline. The agency will also promote WOW air’s summer schedule, which will see the airline flying from London to Reykjavik 13 times a week, from June 2013.

WOW air was established in November 2011 by seasoned entrepreneur, Skuli Mogensen, who has over 15 years of international business experience and has founded a number of successful ventures across Scandinavia.

Skuli Mogensen, WOW air’s CEO, says: “With the team’s expertise in the aviation and travel sectors, we are thrilled to have Rooster on board at this pivotal time as we increase our activity for summer 2013. The UK is a key market for WOW air, so we are enthusiastic about having such a strong voice there.”

James Brooke, Rooster’s Managing Director, says: “We are excited to be the first ever UK PR agency to represent this ground-breaking airline. We look forward to growing WOW air together in the UK and showcasing all that the airline has to offer.”
