Youth travel businesses anticipate economic recovery will not begin until 2021

June a small turning point for the youth travel industry, but hopes are mostly set on 2021.

Findings from WYSE Travel Confederation’s June survey on the impact of COVID-19 on travel and tourism businesses reveal a slight shift in business prospects in 2020, as well as a small improvement to the anticipated change in demand, although most travel businesses do not see economic recovery beginning until 2021.

Over 50% of respondents indicated that they would not travel to large B2B events until 2021. This is not surprising given that 52% of respondents stated their business currently has a travel ban in place.
