Houston chosen as host city for first Michelin Guide Texas Ceremony

Houston to host the inaugural Michelin Guide Texas Ceremony. Michelin Guide Ceremony will be the evening of November 11th.

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Michelin Guide has set a date and location for the reveal of the very first selection of the Michelin Guide Texas. Houston has been chosen as the host city for the 2024 MICHELIN Guide Ceremony being held on the evening of Nov. 11. Venue details are forthcoming.

support of Travel Texas, we look forward to an evening of celebration as we toast to the restaurants that our Inspectors have chosen to award in Texas.”

As the Michelin Guide continues to be committed to promoting the gastronomy players of tomorrow and the diversity of cuisines across its destinations, the Guide seeks to hold its annual ceremony in different cities each year. With one of the United States’ most dynamic food scenes boasting world-class dining, Houston proved to be the perfect fit for the first MICHELIN Guide Texas Ceremony.

Houston First is excited to partner with Michelin in hosting the inaugural Michelin Guide Texas ceremony and to learn alongside our partner cities which Texas restaurants have been selected.”

Chefs will be invited to discover whether their restaurants have received a Michelin Star or another Michelin Guide distinction. Attendance is by invitation only.

The Michelin Guide in North America

Michelin announced its first North American Guide in 2005 for New York. Guides have also been added in Chicago (2011); Washington, D.C. (2017); California (San Francisco in 2007,
statewide 2019); Miami/Orlando/Tampa, Florida (2022); Toronto (2022); Vancouver (2022); Colorado (2023); Atlanta (2023), Mexico (2024), Texas (2024) and Quebec (2024).
