Greece has been awarded 327 'European Blue Flag<.>' in 2000, for its clean, environmentally rich beaches and waters by the European Union as the result of annual scientific testing. This is the same number as last year, and the highest number of any country in Europe.
There are 27 criteria for Blue Flag awards.
