HomeToGo’s 2024 Fall Forecast reveals a strong preference for U.S. coastal and urban destinations, highlighting a trend in extended domestic vacations.
FORT LLAUDERDALE, FLA. – HomeToGo released its 2024 Fall Forecast, revealing the top trending destinations in the U.S. for autumn getaways. The data shows that the coastal wanderlust of the summer months is continuing strong into the upcoming season, with waterside destinations remaining in-demand for fall. Additionally, the forecast indicates significant year-over-year search uplifts for stays in both charming small towns and vibrant big cities across America.
“HomeToGo’s Fall Forecast not only uncovers the urge among travelers to extend summer vacations, but it also reveals that the majority of Americans are looking for stateside staycations,” said Eleanor Moody, Travel Expert and Spokesperson at HomeToGo. “Our data shows that 64% of searches for fall stays are for domestic destinations, with an average length of 14.5 days – indicating a growing trend of home-away-from-home experiences in both rising hidden gems and well-known travel hotspots.”
