On-line travel growing

On-line travel planning grew by 54 percent last year, involving some 52,2 million people. This is an increasing of 1,500 percent since 1996, according to the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA<.>). About 32 percent of on-line travel planners bookings were up 146 percent last year, representing 16,5 million travelers.

There is said to be a correlation between Internet<.> users and travelers to the extent that close to 92 percent of Internet users are active travelers.
