A survey released last Thursday reveals that one in five people in the UK have done the dirty on their partner whilst on holiday! The survey, carried out by online travel service Opodo.co.uk found that attached men are more likely than women to play away whilst on holiday, while their partners stay at home. However, it is the girls who are having the most fun overall in foreign climes – almost three quarters of women (73%) have had a holiday fling compared to 65% of men.

Whilst your fling may have been an Adonis in the sun they’re more likely to be Johnny Vegas than Johnny Depp on home soil… 64% of respondents would be less than pleased to have a holiday fling turn up at their front door, with over a third even telling them that their partner is upstairs in order to get rid of them.

However, the survey did reveal that holiday romance can last longer your tan – more than one in ten actually met their long-term partner whilst away and just under one fifth keep in touch regularly.
