Greece's varied landscape is showcased in British tour operator Explore<.>'s 2001-2002 brochure which features adventure travel trips to historic Mani in the Peloponnese, the Vikos Gorge and Zagorohoria in Epirus, and the Ionian island of Kythira.

Explore, which specialises in adventure travel, has seen a rise in demand for packages to Greece while prices have remained at the same levels as those of Egypt, Cyprus, Morocco and Egypt. Fares for Turkey are slightly lower.

The company presently sends Britons to the Cyclades particularly to Santorini, under which the famed Lost City of Atlantis is thought to lie, Kythira, rocky Mani, Attica, the islands of Kythnos and Kea, Crete, the Samaria Gorge, Zagorohoria and Vikos Gorge.

It also organises tours of Cyprus' Troodos mountains and trekking at the island's Akamas peninsula.
