6. How to move around and where to go___

Bergen has always been a town of traders. For visitors, this means plenty of tempting shops – ranging from the small and specialised to large departmental stores. Among the largest shopping centres in the city centre are Kløverhuset in Strandgaten, Galleriet on Torgallmenningen and Bergen Storsenter near the bus and train stations and ByGarasjen Parking house. One of Norway’s biggest shopping centres, Lagunen, is situated between the city centre and the airport. There is also a large selection of smaller shops all over the city centre. Good shopping streets are Bryggen, Øvregaten and Lille Øvregate, Vetrlidsallmenning, Torget and Vågsallmenningen, Strandkaien, Strandgaten and the area around the main square Torgallmenningen.

Saturday 9 am – 3 pm

Monday – Friday 9 am – 8 pm
Saturday 9 am – 6 pm
