Anek Lines purchases stake in Agoudimos Lines

Crete-based Anek Lines<.> continues its barrage of merger deals with the purchase of a 30% stake in Agoudimos Lines. This newest deal gives Anek a strong foothold in Cyclades Islands routes.
Previous merger deals with smaller lines on Crete allowed Anek to enlarge its number of routes from Crete ports to Piraeus. Anek's merger with Dane Sea Lines, which is expected to be completed soon, gives the Crete line a major foothold in the Dodecanesses Islands routes as well.
Anek recently ordered two new ferries from the Fosen yards in Norway and is in discussions for the order of another two new vessels.
