ASTA has partnered with Lifetime Television’s The Balancing Act

As part of ASTA’s ongoing commitment to promoting its members to a wide audience of consumers, ASTA has partnered with Lifetime Television’s The Balancing Act, to showcase various aspects of travel and the value of working with a professional travel agent to millions of viewers across the country. Beginning this summer, the segments, entitled “Travel with Confidence – Tips & Advice on Planning Your Next Vacation” will spotlight various types of travel and provide insight and advice from an ASTA travel agent spokesperson.

“We are so excited to be working with The Balancing Act. It’s a program that offers viewers solutions to everyday problems to help them balance their lives. We will be able to show millions of viewers across America how a travel agent can work with a client to plan an entire trip to meet their budget and make their travel dreams come true,” said ASTA President and Chair Chris Russo. “When you work with a travel agent, you can leave the planning and details to them, and have confidence in the fact that they will be there for you before, during and after your trip.”

“Having ASTA on the show has brought yet another great solution to women, one that will have a real impact, and help them balance their lives,” said Doug Campbell, founder and executive vice president of programming for The Balancing Act. “This is the essence of solutions-based programming, and we are proud that we could bring this information to our viewers.”

The first segment, to air in late May, will focus on the value travel agents bring to the travel planning equation, helping their clients save both time and money, while ensuring they have an advocate working on their behalf in the event something goes wrong such as a natural disaster or political unrest.

ASTA and The Balancing Act will promote each segment through a series of press releases, blog posts, social media and other outreach. Segment clips featuring ASTA will be hosted on both and following their air date.
