First two days of Philoxenia tourism fair restricted to trade

Organizers of Greece's 15th international tourism fair, Philoxenia<.>, November 4-7, have restricted the first two days of this year's fair to tourism trade professionals. "With Thursday and Friday closed to the public," say fair organizers, "we aim to improve the overall effectiveness of contacts between visitors and exhibitors."
Organizer Helexpo says the entire area of 5,000 square meters of exhibition space at this year's fair has been leased and we will most likely see more than 500 exhibitors at Philoxenia '99 compared with the 392 that participated last year. Exhibitors come from every area of the tourism sector, complete with impressive stands from 13 regions of Greece.
And except for strong representation from southeast Europe, this year's fair concentrates heavily on enticing commercial visitors from abroad.
Special events this year include seminars on preparing tourism enterprises for the euro ("Euro: Analytic Guide to Preparation for Tourism Enterprises") and on investing ("Banks-Tourism-Investment").
