Hyatt continues expansion plans in Greece

The new 5-star Hyatt Regency<.> in Thessaloniki, which runs a casino there, is close to an agreement with the National Bank of Greece for the purchase of the latter's Porto Carras resort complex in Chalkidiki. The unit also sports a casino. The bank has been trying to unload the property for some time now.
Hyatt is also looking to expand to the Athens area. Besides a 250-room unit planned on 42,000 square meters of land on Kiffissias Avenue, Hyatt is looking for more casino licenses here and intends to invest in other areas of the Greek tourism industry….
