March 25, 2003 – Business Travel Intentions

A recently published poll showed that 57 percent of domestic business travelers expect to travel about the same amount in the next three months as they did in the previous three months. Twenty-six percent expect to travel slightly or a lot less. Among those who said they would travel less, 29 percent cited lower demand for business travel and 25 percent cited concerns about the war in Iraq or terrorism. The online survey of 2,146 U.S. adults, including 1,141 business travelers, was conducted last Tuesday through Friday for USA TODAY.
