Following the motto “Branding Your Hotel: How To Do It Right”, the Athens Hotel Branding Seminar will be held in Athens on September 22,23 and 24, 2005 . The aim of this two-day event is to educate Greek hoteliers about the different ways of branding their hotels and the alternative choices such as franchising, management contracts or hotel consortia membership. Participants of the seminar will be Greek hotel owners, investors and general managers.

Despite its rapid growth, the Greek hotel sector is among the least penetrated by global and local brands, with only 2.5% of the country’s hotels having a brand affiliation. The unprecedented publicity of the 2004 Olympic Games of Athens and the billions invested in upgrading hotels and infrastructure throughout the country present a unique opportunity to boost Greek tourism during the next decade. The Athens Hotel Branding Seminar is organised by Travel Daily News , leading and most influential tourism industry publications with strong links to well established international tourism organisations such as WTO, WTTC, IH&RA, ACTE and many more: TravelDailyNews Greece & Cyprus – daily newsletter for the travel and tourism professional of Greece & Cyprus since 1999 and TravelDailyNews International – daily news for the International Travel and Tourism Industry since 1999.

The Greek edition is read daily by 8,000 senior travel and hospitality professionals. What do we deliver to our Sponsors?

A room full of hotel owners, investors and general managers interested in branding their hotels. Sponsors are entitled to present their company, brands and range of services to this audience and to conduct one-on-one meetings with participants. Based on the experience from previous Travel Daily News seminars, about 50-60 participants are expected.

Sponsors will also enjoy an extensive exposure over a five-month period through our daily newsletters (both the English-language and the Greek editions) and websites as well as other tourism and hospitality media in Greece.

More specifically, the Sponsorship Package comprises the following components:

During the Seminar:

  • A presentation of the Sponsor’s company, hotel brands and services followed by a Q&A session during the Seminar
  • A dedicated stand right next to the seminar room for one-on-one meetings
  • Admission of two staff members of the Sponsor to all Seminar sessions

Before and After the Seminar:

  • A dedicated web page with the Sponsor’s company profile accessible through the Seminar’s main web page (both the English-language and Greek versions of it)
  • Inclusion of the Sponsor in all press releases related to the Seminar
  • A banner ad at both our English-language and Greek websites for a duration of three months
  • Two news stories about the Sponsor to be included in both Greek and English-language editions of our daily newsletters read by 8,000 and 15,000 travel and hospitality professionals, respectively (based on the Sponsor’s press releases)

The cost of the Sponsorship Package is 1,500 Euros. Proposals from potential Sponsors for contributions in kind (such as providing the seminar room or hosting a lunch) will also be considered.
