Speaking at the annual MEED Airports Conference in Abu Dhabi, Georges Hannouche, CEO of Data Processing Systems (DPS), the integrator of advanced airport systems, hosted a seminar on the growing need for integrated technologies in the region’s airports in order to maximise efficiency and safety.

“As the importance of the Middle East as a global transport hub is realised and regional travel levels build, the region’s airports and airlines need to ensure that the facilities in place are prepared for the challenges of the contemporary aviation industry, as well as having systems in place that are up to the task for the future,” said Hannouche.

As part of DPS’s ongoing outreach programme to aid airport authorities in improving their services, Hannouche discussed cutting-edge solutions for the advanced airport, such as technologies that enhance runway safety, manage air traffic flow and capacity, and minimise turn-around times and congestions.
