InterContinental Hotels Group, announces Jerome Miller, VP and chief diversity officer, the Americas, IHG, will be a featured presenter at the 9th Annual International Association of Hispanic Meeting Planners (IAHMP) Conference & Trade Show. The IAHMP conference will be held September 1-3, 2004, in Phoenix, Ariz., and is targeted to Hispanic hospitality industry executives, Convention and Visitors Bureau staff, Hotels and Airline employees and service providers interested in learning more about doing business with the Hispanic Market.
It is important for IHG to continue its involvement with organizations like the IAHMP that so directly influence and touch our customers, said Jerome Miller, VP and chief diversity officer. The Hispanic community is an extremely important market for our company because they are a natural fit for our brands.
Miller will participate in the Diversity Panel with executives from other top hotel chains. As VP and chief diversity officer for the largest and most global hotel company in the world, Miller will share information about IHG diversity efforts and any key learnings from his participation in the American Hotel & Lodging Association Multicultural Advisory Council.
In addition to Miller`s participation, IHG is acting as a sponsor of a conference luncheon and exhibiting as part of the tradeshow.
The International Association of Hispanic Meeting Professionals (IAHMP) was organized on August 24, 1994, and chartered in the State of Texas on May 1, 1995. IAHMP was established as an international association for Hispanic meeting professionals and for those persons interested in the Hispanic Market conducting business within the meetings and hospitality industries.
