Sidona wins three new tourism clients as focus on customer experience grows

Devon based Sidona Group, which specialise in helping companies improve their customer experience, has taken on three new tourism and hospitality clients since January 2011. The three clients are; The National Trust at Stowe, Harbour Hotels Collection and Otterton Mill in East Devon.

Sidona has been tasked with conducting internal and external customer research to identify customer needs and expectations and also providing training to ensure all these expectations are managed and met consistently.

These wins are particularly timely as they come in the wake of the new Tourism Strategy Document from the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). The Government is challenging the tourism and leisure sector to raise the bar on the UK’s “visitor experience” and wants the UK to become “world class”. Sidona’s work is central to this ethos and is working with national, regional and local businesses to help them achieve this goal.

Derek Blackburn, Managing Director of Sidona Group commented: "Customer experience is one of a business’s strongest differentiators. Companies that continually rank well in delivering a great customer experience are those that have put their internal and external customers at the heart of their business culture, values, strategy and processes. These businesses reap the rewards of the investment with increased revenue from repeat business, and an enhanced reputation which attracts the best staff and new customers. In today’s difficult economy these are huge assets. The customer experience is the new competitive battleground”

Mark Godfrey, Managing Director of the Harbour Hotels Collection with hotels in Devon, Dorset and Cornwall continues: "We are delighted to be working with Sidona. They have designed a leadership programme tailored to the exact needs of our business that will support our General Managers in developing our customer centric culture. We are committed to growing our business and delivering added value to our customers by investing in our people.”
