Special Hotels of the World announces its newest member: Palazzo Magnani Feroni

Special Hotels of the World, the renowned global sales and marketing alliance representing some of the world’s finest independent hotels, is delighted to welcome Palazzo Magnani Feroni in Florence, Italy, to its portfolio.

Located in the picturesque medieval neighbourhood of San Frediano, the 500 year-old palazzo is surrounded by historical houses, towers and palaces. The central location is ideal for sightseeing – just a few minutes’ walk from the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio), the city’s finest shopping district and major attractions including the Galleria degli Uffizi and Piazza del Duomo.

The Palazzo, which is a listed building, offers 12 sumptuous suites, each one reflecting the elegance of Renaissance style. Traditional furnishings, intricate wood carvings and antique paintings are combined with comfort and modern technology to offer guests pure luxury. The suites range from the classic suite to the magnificent Feroni deluxe suite and each one comprises a master bedroom, independent living room and bathroom complete with a lavish range of amenities. As well as satellite television and wi-fi internet access, some suites also boast a laptop and printer and a Powerplate fitness machine. Guests can also enjoy the services of a personal masseur, hairdresser, manicurist and pedicurist.

The hotel’s roof terrace gives breathtaking views over Florence. During the summer, guests can relax after a day’s activities with a drink whilst enjoying panoramic views of the city and the surrounding hills or enjoy a romantic candle-lit dinner served by their own waiter.

A variety of services are on offer from the 24-hour concierge service. This specialised guest care service can help with limousine transfers, flight changes, museum visits, gallery and theatre tickets, restaurant recommendations and reservations and private tours of Florence. Personal shopping tours to the finest shops and boutiques in Florence can also be arranged.

Guests looking for the perfect Christmas shopping experience can book a special package with Palazzo Magnani Feroni. The package includes two nights in a Palace Suite including breakfast, a basket of fresh fruit and chocolates upon arrival and a four-hour personalised shopping tour of Florence city centre.  Rates are €1,060 for two people and the package is valid from 1-27 December 2008.
