CEO of Italian national airline Alitalia<.> Francesco Mengozzi recently told reporters that he is aiming to have an alliance with another international carrier in place by August. At a press conference, Mengozzi was quoted as saying that he was working on a new strategic plan for the airline that is expected to take effect after the summer period, but warned that the carrier`s problems will continue to affect its performance during 2001.
