Active Hotels, one of Europe’s online hotel reservation providers and part of priceline, has teamed up with footballreferee website, the Referees Association with over 17,000 members in the UK and overseas in 35 countries.

Members can now instantly book hotels online via a link through to Active Hotels’ extensive inventory of over 11,000 properties across Europe, ranging from B&B’s through to five star luxury accommodation.

Alan Poulain, Referees Association of England stated: “We’re delighted to be teaming up with Active Hotels to provide our members with a great choice and range of hotels offering good value-for-money. With regular association meetings both home and away, our new bookings tool is an invaluable facility for completing travel arrangements.”

The new accommodation booking tool is also being promoted in the Association’s monthly magazine for members to raise awareness of this latest feature available on their website.

Shane Whaley, European Business Development Manager, Active Hotels said: “We have teamed up with the Referees Association as we are committed to giving expensive travel the red card. Referees contribute enormously to football, whether it’s in the Premiership or the local park and we are delighted to help referees whether away on business or simply for a relaxing break with their families.”
