In view of its continuing international expansion and plans for a Stock Exchange Listing, the Board of Directors and Executive Management of Swissport International have decided to strengthen the company`s financial management . Clive Dolman has been appointed Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and a member of the Executive Management with effect from September 1.

Clive Dolman has been a consultant to the Swissport Group for the past 2½ years, providing assistance and advice on various acquisition and outsourcing projects. He formerly served as CFO of SAir Services, a division of the SAir Group, from 1998 to 1999. Prior to joining SAir Services, he was CFO of OBS Services, a Candover-led management buy-out of a UK based catering logistics business that was acquired by SAir Group in 1997.

A British national, Clive Dolman qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse, London, in 1984. He subsequently spent nine years as an Investment Banker in the City of London specialising in corporate finance and private equity.

Andreas Buhlmann (34), who was Group Chief Financial Officer for the past five years and in this function largely involved in building-up the Group, remains part of the Executive Management of Swissport International with responsibilities for the group reporting and accounting function.

Still expanding

Swissport continues to raise its international profile and gain additional market share. Recent highlights include the ground handling concession in Singapore, a multi-station 5-year agreement with KLM, the acquisition of Groundstar in the UK and entry into the aviation security market through the purchase of Protectas.

Swissport is currently seeking to obtain additional operating licences in a number of countries and is also considering further acquisition opportunities with the clear objective of remaining at the forefront of the ground handling industry, a sector which is seeing increasing consolidation and achieving above-average growth.
