Jurg Dinner has been appointed Head of Corporate Communications at SWISS. He succeeds Peter Marthaler, who has held the office since September 2002. Dinner will assume his new duties on October 1.
Jurg Dinner, who grew up in Zurich and holds a degree in economics, is currently Head of Corporate Communications at Coca-Cola Switzerland, a post he has held for the last two years. Prior to this, he spent a five-year period as Head of Business Communications at the BMW Group.
The appointment of his successor enables Peter Marthaler to act on his long-voiced desire for a new personal challenge. Having accompanied the successful introduction of the new company CEO and the presentation of SWISS`s first-half results on August 17, he will now have the opportunity to do so.
During his tenure, Peter Marthaler has established and further developed SWISS`s internal and external communications in an extremely demanding overall market environment. His responsibilities have also extended to the company`s inflight magazine and its events and sponsorship activities.
The SWISS Board of Directors and Executive Management thank Peter Marthaler for all his energies and commitment, and for the substantial contribution he has made to the company`s positioning and communications.
