Radisson Blu Sobieski

Elegant Polish hotel leverages future-proof door lock design to effortlessly keep pace with evolving security standards and guest preferences.

STOCKHOLM – Vingcard, hospitality’s leading provider of security access solutions and other advanced technologies, has announced a successful upgrade of its Vingcard Classic door locks at Radisson Blu Sobieski in Warsaw, Poland. An upscale property situated within the heart of Warsaw’s business district, Radisson Blu Sobieski by upgrading to Vingcard Classic RFID which will be enabled with Mobile Access, can provide its guests with the ideal combination of enhanced security and instant guestroom entry convenience.

Previously being equipped with magstripe-based Vingcard Classic locks meant that Radisson Blu Sobeiski could take advantage of the solution’s scalable design in order to adopt more secure RFID-based key encryption standards. This advantage not only minimizes any potential risk of unauthorized keycard cloning but also prevents keycard demagnetization issues from arising and affecting guest satisfaction. The property was notably able to upgrade to RFID capabilities without having to undergo the costly replacement of existing door hardware. Benefitting from a swift installation, Radisson Blu Sobieski also credits Vingcard technicians with providing seamless and responsive customer service which kept operational downtime to an absolute minimum.

Thanks to the brand’s scalable lock solutions and excellent customer service, property managers particularly praised Vingcard for providing them with the confidence of knowing that their guests and staff are always protected using the industry’s latest advances in security and data encryption. They also highly valued the opportunity of being able to activate Mobile Access, allowing the hotel to offer the enhanced convenience of digitalized check-in and room entry that more guests are coming to expect as an available service.

The activation of Mobile Access through the property’s Vingcard Classic locks will allow guests to skip front desk check-in lines and instead gain instant entry to their guestrooms by using personal devices as a secure electronic key. Depending on a property’s digital key deployment goals and needs, Mobile Access can be enabled as a standalone service or by being integrated with an existing guest-facing mobile app. For properties aiming to provide their guests with even greater convenience, Mobile Access can also provide the option of allowing guests to store and retrieve electronic room keys within digital wallets located on their smart device.
