Bringing adventure to Vermont’s scenic landscape this summer; guests can book their stays starting May 1, 2024

CHICAGO – Outbound Hotels, the pioneering hotel brand redefining adventure lodging in America’s great outdoor destinations, unveils its latest addition: Outbound Stowe, nestled in the picturesque beauty of Stowe, Vermont. Following the success of its predecessors in Jackson Hole, WY, and Mammoth Lakes, CA, Outbound Stowe aims to encapsulate Vermont’s outdoor charm. With a soft opening scheduled for early July 2024, guests can immerse themselves in the tranquility and adventure of Stowe’s landscape. Bookings for stays at Outbound Stowe will be available starting May 1, 2024 for stays beginning early July, 2024.

Just a few miles from town and a short ride to Mt. Mansfield, Outbound Stowe is situated on an expansive property with a mix of cozy room types with modern amenities; the region’s largest outdoor pool; nestled alongside the tranquil West Branch Little River; and direct access to Stowe’s Recreation Path. With 73 rooms across 15 types, the property caters to diverse traveler preferences. Guests can choose to stay in a range of accommodations from suites to cabins and an 8-person cottage. Plus a loft suite in a cleverly converted event barn. Drawing from a New England design heritage, the property features minimal exterior ornamentation and simple, utilitarian lines, complemented by Vermont woodworking traditions. Evoking a wholesome, playful ambiance, the design employs a vibrant yet balanced color palette, with primary colors like red, blue, and yellow harmonizing with secondary greens and oranges. Celebrating local artisans, the spaces showcase fine arts and crafts rooted in the region’s heritage, leaning heavily into a cheerful, unexpected color palette unique to the market.

Adding to the excitement, Eastside, Outbound Stowe’s signature bar and kitchen concept developed in partnership with Folkart Management, will have its soft opening in late August, offering guests a casual dining experience infused with local flavors and ambiance. Eastside is where Stowe meets for fun, approachable, and delicious craft cocktails, local beer, and griddled favorites – a destination blending the quality of Boston or New York’s culinary scene with the laid-back mountain vibes defined by the Outbound brand. Signature menu items include the Outbound Special smash burger and Katsu-San Sando panko crusted chicken sandwich, as well a delicious Vermont Maple Éclair made with local Runamok Maple Syrup, accompanied by a selection of craft cocktails, like Zero Day, a twist on the old fashion made with Runamok Maple Bitters, and local brews such as Von Trapp Dunkel and Fiddlehead IPA.

“We are delighted to introduce Outbound Stowe, where guests can embark on a journey of discovery amidst Vermont’s stunning landscape,” said Matthew Mering, Executive Vice President, Hospitality at Waterton, Outbound Hotels’ ownership group. “The expansion of Outbound Hotels into Stowe signifies the next phase in our mission to redefine alternative lodging, granting access to extraordinary outdoor destinations without compromising comfort or design.”

Officially launching in September, Outbound Stowe promises to offer outdoor and music-focused programming, a signature feature of all Outbound Hotel properties, specially curated for the Stowe area. Guests can anticipate immersive music experiences and pop-up events that capture the essence of Vermont’s cultural richness. Whether exploring scenic trails or taking in the breathtaking fall foliage, Outbound Stowe promises an unforgettable experience for all who venture through its doors.

As Outbound Stowe joins the growing collection of properties, including The Virginian Lodge in Jackson Hole, WY, and Outbound Mammoth in Mammoth Lakes, CA, guests can also anticipate the launch of Outbound Yosemite in summer 2025, showcasing the continued expansion of Outbound Hotel’s unconventional lodging in outdoor destinations.
