Valor Hospitality Partners unveils Cloudland at McLemore Resort Lookout Mountain, adding a historic luxury destination to its North American portfolio and enhancing Georgia’s mountainous landscape.

ATLANTA – Leading global hospitality management organization, Valor Hospitality Partners, announced the grand opening of Cloudland at McLemore Resort Lookout Mountain, Curio by Hilton, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion and a historic moment for the North Georgia mountain landscape. Cloudland is Valor Hospitality’s second resort property in North America, joining the award-winning Lodge at Gulf State Park, a Hilton Hotel in Gulf Shores, AL. The property is situated at 2,300 feet of elevation among the 800-acre landscape of McLemore Resort that includes two world-class Rees-Jones & Bill Bergin designed golf courses, a beautifully curated clubhouse, state-of-the-art practice facilities and activities for everyone. This is the culmination of 15 years of dedication by Scenic Land Company and the unwavering belief and vision of Valor Hospitality.

Developed by Scenic Land Company, Cloudland’s arrival at McLemore Resort marks a historic milestone for the area, as it becomes the first hotel built on Lookout Mountain since the Great Depression. In partnership, FlickMars Interior Design from Dallas, Texas collaborated with Scenic Land Company and Valor Hospitality’s design and development team to create and incorporate elevated finishes across the property – combining uncompromising service with rustic craftsmanship and comfort.

The Croft

Cloudland at McLemore Resort heralds a new era of luxury for leisure and business travelers, with 245 guest rooms, including 19 suites and an impressive 20,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting and event space, making it the largest project of its kind in the region.   • Championship Golf Courses: Cloudland’s iconic offerings include access to an 18-hole championship Highlands course, 6-hole short course, and highly anticipated second 18-hole course designed by Bergin & Jones, named The Keep.
  • The Highlands Course, redesigned by Rees Jones and Bill Bergin, is an 18-hole championship layout boasting one of golf’s most exhilarating finishing holes, recently recognized by Golf Digest as the best finishing hole in the USA built this century.
  • The six-hole Cairn short course is perfect for those wanting to hone their games or enjoy a quick round with a wedge and putter.
  • The Keep, a second championship layout, has already been lauded by Forbes, GOLF magazine, GolfPass and LINKS Magazine as one of 2024’s best new courses to be built. Opening in late summer of this year; this mountain gem is set to be one of the greats in the USA and in the world.
