Partner Concepts for U.S. travel trade representation in Nicaragua

The Nicaraguan Tourism Board announced the selection of Partner Concepts as their U.S. representative for the travel industry. The Instituto Nicaraguense de Turismo (INTUR), headed by Minister Mario Salinas Pasos, is responsible for the global promotion of Nicaraguan tourism. The selection of Partner Concepts for marketing to the travel industry follows INTUR’s earlier selection of Murphy O’Brien as their Public Relations agency in the U.S.

“Tourism growth, especially from the U.S. market, is extremely important to the long range development plans of Nicaragua. The largest and safest country in Central America is poised for tremendous growth in tourism. Blessed with beaches on two oceans, mountains, rivers, historic colonial-era cities and beautiful lakes, Nicaragua offers today’s travelers multiple choices and fantastic value,” Minister Salinas said. “Partner Concepts has the unique capability to leverage the destinations’ strengths and opportunities.”

INTUR has announced a strategy that is focused on the U.S. travel trade. The travel trade promotion for Nicaragua will engage the services of William (Bill) Maloney, CTC, the former CEO of ASTA.

“This focus on the trade is a perfect strategy for Nicaragua,” said Paul Cohen, President of Partner Concepts. “Developing relationships and business ties with U.S. tour operators and travel agents is a fundamental step towards visitor growth. Too often destinations rely only on consumer direct promotions and neglect the trade. I applaud INTUR for adopting such a sound strategy.”
