The new aircraft is designed to transport 150 passengers and will cover short and medium range routes within Spain and Europe. The Spanish company has named this aircraft Rio Jucar.

This is the 6th of ten A-320 Airbuses that Iberia<.> is due to receive this year as part of the fleet renewal plan. In addition this plan involves the incorporation of 3 A-340 Airbuses, of which 2 have already been received and 2 A-321 Airbuses.

This latest acquisition means that Iberia now has a total of 49 A-320 Airbuses.

These aircraft boast the latest technological advances and a lower fuel consumption and they are also quieter and more efficient, thus providing an improved service to the customer.
