On The Beach reveals the true value of all-inclusive holidays

Research conducted by On the Beach, UK’s online travel agent, reveals British holidaymakers could save on average a whopping £869 per couple, by booking an all-inclusive holiday this summer. Whilst the initial price of all-inclusive holidays may sometimes deter people from booking the more expensive board basis; research shows that when in-resort costs are taken into account, all-inclusive holidays offer the best value for money.

On the Beach compared two 5* holidays in both Egypt and Greece, looking at non all-inclusive verses all-inclusive holidays. When in-resort costs are taken into account, the research revealed holidaymakers could save more than £300 per person on food and drink alone, when choosing the all-inclusive option.

Most British holidaymakers treat themselves to great food accompanied by a tipple or two abroad, which can result in waking up with heavy head and a light wallet. However, with On the Beach witnessing a 30% boost in bookings of all-inclusive holidays this summer; many holidaymakers rest easy knowing cocktails by the pool have been paid for and a hearty breakfast will be on hand in the morning to aid recovery.

This rise in all-inclusive holiday bookings suggests with people still feeling the pinch of the recession, holidaymakers are looking to pay most of their holiday costs before they depart the UK, in order to keep track of their budget and avoid unaccounted expenses.

Although the all-inclusive board basis offers the best value for money, many people still prefer self-catering with one in four holidaymakers choosing the ever popular, typically British self-catering holidays.

Alistair Daly, Marketing Director at On the Beach commented, "Many of the most popular summer resorts are now offering great value all-inclusive holidays, giving guests the chance to completely recuperate from working life. More and more holidaymakers are choosing all-inclusive to keep a close eye on the holiday budget."
