TheTrainline, the UK`s leading online rail retailer, and KDS, the leading provider of online business travel management solutions, today announced plans to work together to integrate TheTrainline rail reservation services into KDS Corporate, KDS`s comprehensive online travel and expense management solution.

The agreement enables UK users of KDS Corporate to access all of the TheTrainline services through their usual travel

management solution. TheTrainline services include access to all tickets on all trains to all destinations in the UK. Users can check, plan and book their rail trips in real time and have the tickets delivered to their business address. Companies and their staff can use TheTrainline to ticket all rail bookings, or can arrange to have ticketing handled by an agency of their choice.

The alliance between two of the leading players in the corporate travel industry shows an increased commitment to offer best-of-breed solutions to corporations, and represents a combined effort to revolutionise the way corporate travel is managed and delivered across the country.

Commenting on the new deal, Dan Hart, Head of Sales at TheTrainline, said: We are continually striving to further cement our position as one of the country`s leading providers of corporate rail travel. The deal with KDS demonstrates our ability to work alongside some of the biggest names in the corporate travel industry, adding real value to their already comprehensive service provisions. Our company values are a natural fit with those of KDS, and together we can deliver an enhanced corporate travel service.

In addition to existing partnerships with SNCF in France, Deutsche Bahn in Germany, and Eurostar in the UK, and access via GDSs to AccesRail services for Sweden, Norway and Austria, this new agreement further extends KDS`s train suppliers for its international customer base.

Business travellers in Europe demand access to train options for trips under 3 hours. This is why KDS has been the first to provide direct access to train reservation in several European countries. Today, we are delighted to be able to better serve our UK clients with TheTrainline, adds Jean-Francois Vergnangeal, Vice President Marketing & Strategic Alliances at KDS.
