Academy Award winning director, Adam Elliot, who won an Oscar for best animated short film in 2003 for Harvie Krumpet, is one of three inspirational speakers participating in the ICMI Speaker Showcase at AIME 2005.

AIME 2005, 13th AsiaPacific Incentives and Meetings Expo will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, Australia, 22 & 23 February.

For almost a decade, Adam Elliot`s films, UNCLE, COUSIN, BROTHER and HARVIE KRUMPET, have been viewed by millions of people around the world. The films have been seen in over four hundred film festivals and have won almost eighty awards.

Speaking of the struggle to finance Harvie Krumpet, Adam Elliot said:

We were trying to finance a project that wasn`t market friendly – it`s a one-off, half hour, adult, claymation film with no Santa Claus or Easter Bunny, featuring an illiterate immigrant, a story about cancer, assisted suicide, lightening strike, melanoma and alzheimer.

After dozens of rejections, long hours of hard-work driven by a passion and belief, Adam`s dream came true – winning an Oscar(r).

A naturally gifted, engaging and entertaining communicator, Adam will share his story of numerous obstacles, rejections, lack of funding, long hours and appalling work conditions and reveal how he produced a global winner.

The ICMI Speakers Showcase was one of the most popular seminars at this year`s AIME 2004. Don`t miss the change to hear some of the world`s most interesting, inspiring and entertaining speakers at AIME 2005.

AIME 2005 will include 800 exhibitors from 45 countries and is expected to attract more than 2,800 visitors.
